Advertorials Tell a Better Story
Writer Specializes in Tech and Industrial Advertorials
It's difficult to communicate the benefits of a complex product or service in an advertisement. Advertorials supply sufficient space to relate a compelling story. That story should be so interesting your prospect reads it because he wants to. And it should communicate the benefits of your product or service transparently. The benefits message should be received and understood almost subconsciously.
I'm Bob Leonard. I'm a professional writer with a mix of education, talents, skills and experience that uniquely qualify me to write effective advertorials for complex products and services. I didn't set out to accumulate these attributes, it just happened over the course of several years.
A winning advertorial writer must have journalistic skills, marketing savvy, and business knowledge. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Boston University. While working full time at Digital Equipment Corporation, I went to night school at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and earned a Master's degree in Marketing. I worked for over twenty years in various marketing positions at major corporations. And I've successfully run my own small business for the past three years.
I'm skilled at describing complex technology and business processes in ways that your target audiences can relate to. I'm adept at interviewing subject matter experts and conducting other types of online and offline research. I can do that from my office here in Florida, but sometimes it's necessary to tour the plant, or spend a day with the marketing team, or watch the lead engineer demo the product in person. I'm willing and able to travel.
I write a technology column for the Gulf Coast Business Review. Here's a sample: 'Web 2.0 is Us'.
You may have vendors such as graphic designers, ad agencies or publishers. I'm happy to collaborate with the professionals you trust. If you need other services, I have an arsenal of talented associates who can supply design, production, photography, printing, fulfillment, and media planning.
